Sarah is a licensed mental health counselor, educator, and mom of three. She walks with a story of trauma from before and as a result of her perinatal experience.

Justine supports survivors of trauma through perinatal coaching and childbirth education. As well as being a mother of three, she holds a Ph.D. on representations of consent and sexual violence.

In this episode we talk about the challenges of connecting to oneself and our baby in pregnancy and birth. So many of us want to feel present at the moment of our baby's birth but can find that difficult particularly after a hard birth or if we have a history of trauma. Join us as we share our thoughts on why we might want a particular kind of birth and the power of thinking about how we want to feel and be when we meet out baby.
